Home Page Layout

Our home page gives you a quick look at today's Top AP News, Futures Markets, Top Stocks and Market Momentum. Members can choose to add a quoteboard of Market Indices, your Recent Symbols, or your Favorite Symbols. We'll show you some of the newest features of the site, with quick links to the pages you use most often, including a Stock Market overview, Futures Market Overview, Market Momentum, Top 100 Stocks, Volume Leaders, and more.

Choose from Three Chart Styles

You have three chart styles to choose from—Barchart "Classic" charts, "Technical" charts, and "Interactive" charts. The Interactive Chart allows you to draw trend lines, add fibonacci, and has over 50 indicators to choose from. You can save your trend lines and notations on an Interactive Chart for retrieval at a later time. All chart styles have a mouse-over feature which displays price data as you move your mouse over the bars. Best of all, you can choose between the three formats right on the chart form!

Custom Market Pages

Market Pages are flexible page layouts that give you the ability to drop in customizable market content on a web page that you design. With a free Barchart membership, you can create as many Market Pages as you wish, and display them right from your Barchart account. Market Pages are easy to create, and easy to change on-the-fly. You get to choose the type of "content blocks" to drop onto the page, and you get to specify the symbols, fields, and all other settings used to display the content! Composite Quote Page

The composite quote page includes the current market prices with a thumbnail chart, Barchart Opinion, and today's key support and resistance points along with latest market news.

Updating Prices and Updated Analysis

Updating Prices Flash Yellow When a New Tick is Received

Prices are automatically updated every 10 seconds on the site. You'll see the quoteboards flash yellow, indicating a new tick.

All Barchart analysis (Opinions and Technicals) are updated through-out the trading day, as opposed to end of day. This gives you a true sense of where the market is heading for any given ticker symbol or commodity.

Chart of the Day

Every day, our Barchart Analysts use many of Barchart.com's free tools, such as Signals, Top Stocks by Sector, and Opinions, to scour the market for stocks on th e verge of a major move. Chart of the Day commentary alerts you to major market trends and provides promising trading ideas.

Heat Maps

See which markets are heating up or cooling off with Barchart Heat Maps. Heat Maps provide a quick visual view of the markets and how they are performing on the day, as well as how they are performing versus other sectors. Barchart provides Stock Options quotes by Expiration Date, with Stacked or Side-by-Side Quote Views, Advanced Option Analysis for equities including Option Volatility & Greeks and Option Spreads. Earnings and Analyst Ratings for Stocks

You'll find Earnings and Analyst Ratings for US and Canadian Stocks on Barchart.com. Barchart uses Zack's earnings estimates, generated by their market analysts and used to project a stock's profitability. The Earnings Surprises graph allows to quickly determine whether a company's actual earnings for the past four quarters out-performed the analyst estimates. Analyst Ratings evaluate a stock on a scale of 1 (Strong Buy) to 5 (Strong Sell). You'll find current and historical tables that help you evaluate how "the experts" have viewed the stock, providing a snapshot of the short-term trend in analyst sentiment.

We've developed a "micro-site" for Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), accessed by clicking the ETFs tab at the top of the site. As many traders have learned, strategies for buying and selling ETFs are much different than buying and selling traditional stocks. Simple Navigation
