We are happy to announce a few significant additions to the Barchart.com website -- a new Economy section that consolidates Interest Rates, Economic indicators and Housing data and Economic News all in one area -- and real-time Last Price from The BATS Exchange on individual U.S. Stock quotes pages. Real-time data is available when you are logged in with your free Barchart account, along with after-hour prices.

New Economy Section on Barchart

There is a new Economy tab located at the top of our website. In the Economy tab, you will find:

Key Interest Rates, Economic and Housing Data

Key Interest Rates including Treasury Yields, Bank Rates, Swaps, Dollar Libor, Canadian Rates, Commercial Paper, and more
Economic Data including Unemployment Rates, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Consumer Price Index (CPI), Producer Price Index (PPI), and Personal Consumption Expeditures (PCE)
Housing Data including Major Mortgage Rates, Regional House Pricing Index, U.S. Heat Maps for 30-Year Mortgage Rates and HPI
Economic and Housing News including today's top headlines from the Federal Reserve Board, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and Associated Press.

The data in the Economy section is presented to give you concise side-by-side comparisons of related interest rates and economic data. Links are provided to view the quote and chart for each rate or index.

Many of the rates and indices have historical data that goes back over 25 years, allowing you to view long-range charts.

Real-Time Prices on U.S. Stocks

Barchart now provides free real-time prices on individual U.S. stock quote pages. Real-time data is provided by The BATS Exchange, and displays along with the delayed price at the top of the quote page.

Real-time prices are available during market hours (9:30 AM to 4:00 PM EST). After-hours prices will display, when available.

Please note: The BATS Exchange currently accounts for approximately 11-12% of all U.S. equity trading each day. As a result, the real-time prices displayed may have minor discrepancies when comparing the information with other sites offering real-time data or with brokerage firms. If you require comprehensive real-time bids/asks/quotes, we offer a no-risk trial to one of our real-time products, such as Barchart Professional.
